Solid Foundations
Solid Foundations, a registered NPO is the brain child of Space Age Technologies – born to expand our once humble CSI initiative has grown into a successful multifaceted programme that touches the lives of hundreds of people.
Mission
By working together with all stakeholders, we aspire to be a catalyst for change by drastically improving the opportunities available to children from previously disadvantaged schools with sustainability as our foundation.
Vision
Through our synergistic endeavour our vision is to see the children from previously disadvantaged communities get quality education in a safe and nurturing environment, thus enabling them to be self-sufficient, future leaders who constructively add value to the community and economy of our country.
Our mission is by no means an easily conquered one and we realise that the question of quality education for disadvantaged children in South Africa is not a hurdle easily cleared, however we are confident that our passion to work together with government, similar minded organisations and most importantly, the stakeholders of these communities, we will make a difference.
Our Flagship Project – SATlings
This collaborative initiative brings together Space Age Technologies’ corporate clients, suppliers and neighbours. Together with these CSI partners the SATlings project ‘adopts’ five learners in Grade 8 every year, with the goal of moulding university level matriculants.
Each learner is nurtured emotionally and academically by professionals in their fields. The SATlings project offers a demanding program that walks the challenging journey from Junior High School to the end of Senior High school with each group of SATlings.
The SATlings project not only boasts a well-rounded and quality focused approach, but the successes of our SATlings speak for themselves.
With the SATlings project solidly under way, Solid Foundations will now continue to expand into areas where greater and more fundamental change can be influenced.
